What a fun, cute story! I love the friendship that three strangers form--all of them quite hesitant to work together at first. The fact that the author combines historical Harlem, art, and a mystery, just keeps the reader on their toes. There is diversity, growth, strength, betrayal, and an appreciation for Harlem that is absolutely beautiful! I will say, however, I was a little confused about the character of Rose, and what her role was--she kind of got left out, even though she is the best friend. I would have loved to see all four of the teens befriend one another.
