A sweet romance based on the life of famed Scottish poet and writer Sir Walter Scott (who wrote a poem with the same title). It was a well crafted read that flowed easily, and was a "proper" romance as described on the cover.

I enjoyed this book. If you are interested in Scottish history and especially Sir Walter Scott, this book gives a very personal look at his life. The author did a good job relaying the details of the time period and the emotions of Walter and his friends.
