This book was awesome! I love the ending lines! "Wait, what? Worthy has a tail?!" The only problem was that it was too short! I finished it in an hour! I love the Redcloaks, especially Worthy!

PLEASE DO NOT READ IF YOU DO NOT WANT SPOILERS... i'm apparently very good at posting spoilers and bad at posting summaries, but if you want a summary just read the first paragraph...

This book will star 3 Marked children: Jean-Luc of Eura, Ngozi of Nilo, and Sora of Amaya. These 3 kids will help the Four Fallen find what they are looking for. The Greencloaks have arrived to a special meeting with leaders of Erdas in the Citadel, but something goes wrong: The leaders have decided the Greencloaks are not trustworthy and are not needed anymore! To make it worse, the newest recruits of the Greencloaks, a.k.a. Fakecloaks, attack the leaders of Erdas to prove that they aren't trustworthy. Suddenly, the Greencloaks are now wanted fugitives. Conor, Abeke, Meilin, and Rollan must now race to find the leader of this band of Fakecloaks and find a way to stop them! Or all... will be lost.
THE SPOILERS... ish...
The Greencloaks have been helping Erdas, now it's Erdas's turn to help the Greencloaks. Four rocks from Erdas must be collected, one in Zhong, one in Eura, one in Amaya, and one in Nilo. That is why there are 4 more books after The Burning Tide. The 5th book takes place in Amaya.
The Heroes of Erdas have just barely escaped from the Citadel with a real Greencloak named Anka.
The Redcloaks have made their base camp somewhere in the mountains of Eura or Zhong (I forgot which one). Stead is leader of the Redcloaks. Worthy apparently has a tail. They decide to help The Heroes of Erdas to find their first rock.
While searching for the rock in Amaya, they run into minor issues with the Oathbound. The Oathbound are hunting for the Greencloaks. The first rock is located in a lake. The Greencloaks finally found the rock, but when they turn around the Oathbound is waiting for them there. With the rock's help, they make a narrow escape and must continue their journey to find the next rock which most likely in Eura or Zhong, depending on the 6th book cover (which is out already).

Sarah Prineas asked the children from the Spirit Animals Forums to decide the spirit animals and characteristics of the 3 Marked Kids. My name there is Destiny and I thought it'd be nice to give the information to you.

About Sora: Her spirit animal is a flamingo. She has long hair, clothes are neat and colorful, her weapon is her sharp tongue (not literally), and she's a math prodigy.
About Ngozi: Her background is that she's a street kid living off her wits. Her hair is intricately braided. Clothes are sand-colored robes. Her weapon is throwing daggers. Her spirit animal is a fennec fox.
About Jean-Luc: He is very tall. He will have red hair. His weapon is a longsword. His personality is nice... to a fault. His spirit animal is a red deer.
