A coming of age story about a Cuban-Jewish immigrant named Ruthie. Ruthie is ready to live the dream in NYC when she gets into a car accident and is put in a body cast. Will Ruthie give up, or will she learn to have new dreams?

I loved this story filled with optimism and diverse, rich characters. This novel had be turning the pages, despite this not being an action-packed story. I felt for Ruthie, but I was also cheering her on every step of the way!
