Midnight at the Bright Ideas Bookstore
A NovelBook - 2017
From Library Staff
If you like something a little darker: a man commits suicide in a bookstore and it's up to bookstore clerk Lydia to unravel the mystery of his life.
The author worked at Denver's Tattered Cover bookstore, and set his debut novel in a similar bookstore. When a bookshop patron commits suicide there, his favorite store clerk must unravel the puzzle he left behind.
Jonnie appreciated the Denver setting and that the main character is a bookseller (like Jonnie!)

An excellent family drama and well woven mystery set in Denver and written by a former Tattered Cover employee! How neat is that!
Debut author (and Denver resident) Matthew Sullivan weaves a clever tale of bookstore clerk Lydia unraveling a puzzle left behind after a customer commits suicide, which eventually reveals a long-buried memory Lydia is forced to confront.
