The author is undoubtedly a genius writer. However, the content is not appropriate for children even though it is written for children. I had the CD on in the car and was horrified at what my kids - ages ranging from 7 - 13 - heard on the CD. It started out great... but the story about bad things that happened to the native american boy & his sister were not appropriate for children to listen to. I doubt any psychologist would disagree with me. Very disappointed & will speak personally with library staff asking them to think again about putting this book on the shelves for children to read/listen to.

If you know the King Arthur legends, then this book will intrigue you. If don't know the King Arthur stories yet, it would be best to read those first before moving on to this story.
The characters here are diverse and each one has been impacted by either WWII or some other life shattering event. Character development drives the plot so the reader will be engaged by this unlikely crew as they strive to save New York City.
