I felt that this movie really brought a satisfying conclusion to the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' film series. Suspenseful, funny, and heartwarming. I almost cried with joy when Will and Elizabeth were free to be together again. Exceptional acting, stellar effects, strong plot, and a well-came-up-with combination of the delightfully recognizable old characters and the intriguing new personas.

Pleasantly surprised to finally learn of the boy pirate who came to become “Jack de Sparrow.” With expanded pirate mythologies, the film was surprisingly easy to follow. The trio of new characters (Salazar, Carina and Henry) were welcome fresh faces with cameos of love birds Turner and Swann near the end (plus one more in the final minute of the movie after credit rolls – So look for it as hint that the franchise has not ended yet.) Highly entertaining with great actions, interesting CGI designs, the usual humor and introduction of the next generation pirates.

This was better than the last two movies. Dialogues are not too cheesy, plenty of good visual effects and thrilling/entertaining action scenes. Kaya and Brenton were well-suited to their roles. This was a pretty decent film for a franchise that has gone this far.

The first three were the best, the next two just kind of fell off for me.

I like the movie, but Captain Jack looks a little fat, was drunk way to much and didn't give the same outstanding performance as before hopefully next film will be better, but I did enjoy watching and I'm looking forward to next one.

A fun film that manages to recapture most of the first films magic, this is supposedly the final one. The story's decent and serves as an origin for Jack Sparrow. Some heart-string tugger moments and all the loose ends in the series tied up.

Imagine if they'd left this film series at three films. Or better yet, never making a sequel past the first film. Anyway, this supposedly final film in the franchise brings back the drunken pirate who never changes, the cranky rival, the supernatural threat with a serious grudge, the two young star crossed lovers, and the usual trinket that can bestow great power on whoever possesses it. It works a bit better than Stranger Tides, but it's best now to let Jack Sparrow rest.

After the spectacular disappointment of "On Stranger Tides," this movie was a breath of fresh air. They managed to recapture all of the magic and adventure of the first movie (maybe because they had most of the actors reprise their roles), but the new characters were pretty well built and solidly acted.
There were three distinct moments that stretched my suspension of disbelief to the breaking point, but that doesn't mean it's not worth the watch. I will definitely be adding this to my collection, as a welcome and worthy part of the "Pirates" saga.
