A twisty, turny, thoughtful book about marriage, love, race and how life rarely goes the way we plan. I burned through this in 2 days. I think this would be a great book club pick!
Now this is a NOVEL! This complex, character-driven story is full of love and injustice. Plus, you can spend an evening with the author when she presents for Arapahoe Libraries on 2/20/2020! ArapahoeAshleyR

What brings us together... and what tears us apart?
Complex, character-driven, and deeply personal. This story focuses less on the injustice of wrongful imprisonment and racism, instead examining the fallout. I can't say that I actually liked any of the characters, but they sure made me think!
