"Tessa Jamison couldn't have imagined anything worse than losing her beloved twin girls and husband--until she was convicted of their murder. For ten years, she has counted off the days in Florida's Correctional Center for Women, fully expecting to die behind bars. Fighting to prove her innocence holds little appeal now that her family's gone. But on one extraordinary day, her lawyers announce that Tessa's conviction has been overturned due to a technicality, and she's released on bail to await a new trial. Hounded by the press, Tessa retreats to the small tropical island owned by her late husband's pharmaceutical company. There, she begins to gather knowledge about her case. For the first time since her nightmare began, Tessa feels a sense of purpose in working to finally expose the truth and avenge her lost family. One by one, the guilty will be led to justice, and Tessa can gain closure. But will she be able to learn the whole truth at last . . . and reclaim her freedom and her future?" -- Publisher.

This is a good story. The ending was predictable but the author added several special spins that left me with a smile. If the intent was to create a light read with interesting subject matter, family dysfunction with drama, romance without the mush, mission accomplished.

A very poorly written book. Lacking a lot of details. A big hurry for the end. Will not read another book written by her. Or was it her that wrote it?

Loved this book. Really held your interest. Nice easy read.

I have to agree with the negative comments about this book. I think Fern Michaels was trying to fill up the pages in some instances. Having the character drink her coffee; rinse out the cup and put it in the dishwasher. Oh please.

Wow. So bad. Simple, uninteresting characters, predictable plot...predictable everything and just really bad writing. I've read Fern Michaels before, but this was the worst.

I've read Fern Michaels books forever. I especially like the ones who had the ladies as vigilantes and the mens series as well. This book was okay but not great. Usually in her books she has laughter, tears, excitement this book failed to keep you hopping at what was going on. I'm hoping this book was just thrown together or pushed to get it done. I'm not the only one saying this as I shared it. It was not get best effort. I'm willing to give an author 3 chances but right now I'm disappointed. I sure hope it's a fluke and not the way her books are going to be. Very slow going in the first half of the book.

This is a great book! I normally don't read Fern Michaels because they are usually so sweet and predictable. This story, however, had me guessing and the ending was NOT what I expected! Good read!
