From Library Staff
Isabel is a slave during the Revolutionary war. After being purchased by cruel owners, she decides to spy for the rebels. This is the first book in a 3-book series.
Maybe you're more interested in older wars. This is a story set during the Revolutionary War, with plenty of twists and turns.

I frequently pull this book off the shelf for a teen looking for historical fiction. I think it is an eye opener to help teens search out this subject on their own but it is written in a way that won't scare a young reader away.
