This was my first Groucho Marx movie but I had seen him on "What's My Line" and found him absolutely hilarious. Here he doesn't disappoint and the result is a true classic comedy. The scene listed in the synopsis for the movie is absolutely worth watching. You just don't see humorous moments like the stateroom bit in the movies anymore, and that's a crime. Not only is this film filled with hysterically funny one-liners and sight-gags, but it's surprisingly romantic and sentimental; kind of a story-within-a-story, involving two of the main characters. It made me want to go on another cruise, although I doubt I would find any "shipmates" or even "stowaways" funnier than those found in this movie. Now that I've seen the Marx Brothers in action, I am anxiously awaiting my chance to see their other classics.
