This is definitely my favourite book of The 5th Wave series. The group is going through a lot, and I like how the different points of view show how each character is dealing with reality. This book focuses a lot on the character Ringer, and I personally enjoyed that, since she is a very reserved person, with a very deep background. A lot of things change in this book, and I think that it is a very important book to the series with everything that happens, since it is preparing the readers for the final book. I would definitely recommend this book if you enjoyed The 5th Wave. I recommend The 5th Wave series to ages 11+. 5/5 stars @teen_reader19 of the Hamilton Public Library's Teen Review Board I am getting very heartbroken by the turmoil happening in the romance department in this series. After the tragic event that happened in the previous book, I was overcome with sadness and really wished for the impossible. Then the impossible became possible, and I sort of calmed down. And THEN it happened again! This author sure knows how to make a person very frustrated. As soon as I moved on to a new ship, he sank it. Again. The suspense in the background was the only thing propelling me forward, and I really should get to reading the next one, if there is one available. I think from this point, I have enjoyed this trilogy a great amount. 4/5 stars @Siri of the Teen Review Board of the Hamilton Public Library The Infinite Sea is the enthralling second installment to The 5th Wave series. The book continues to follow the survival attempts of the small group of teens and children in a world being destroyed by an unearthly force. In order to fight the enemy, Cassie and the others must strive to keep their humanity alive despite all odds. Overall, Yancey has written the story in engaging way; each scene thrillingly brings some new threat or danger. The ending is full of interesting revelations that further complicate the crisis. Despite being entirely fictional, the story is relative to real life in all ways; it throws light upon conveniences and purposes of life that are normally taken for granted. With a mixture of sacrifices, action, and romance, The Infinite Sea is undoubtedly a must-read! 5/5 Stars @VirtueofReading of the Teen Review Board of the Hamilton Public Library
