The film's success or failure hinges on what exactly the viewer thinks of Robin Williams and his style of comedy. For me, personally, I can to see past the many problems of the movie and just enjoy Williams being an overgrown kid. He has a bunch of goofy lines that work great with his role as the mastermind behind a toy factory. At the same time, though, the side characters act in painfully cheesy ways and the overall plot is seriously weird. It's not a film for everyone. I recommend it if somebody has a high tolerance for camp and kitsch. It's flawed but enjoyable.
