The excellent film of the same name came out in 2015. According to my research, the film is not based on this book. The subject matter is parallel. James B. Donavon who was Gary Powers' lawyer, sent by the CIA to negotiate his release, wrote his own book back in 1964 titled' Strangers on a Bridge'. He was consulted for the film. However, be that as it may, Giles Whittell's book on the same topic, was published in 2010.It is very readable and informative and shows extensive research. The story of the exchange of the Russian spies and Gary Powers, the U2 pilot captured by the Russians is a remarkable account of what went on at the height of the Cold War. Fact can indeed be stranger than fiction.
