This heartbreaking documentary about one of the largest mass shootings in America was interesting but also incredibly difficult to watch. WARNING, I wasn't expecting actual video footage of the crime scene directly after this massacre. I was shocked and horrified to see footage of the murdered victims, especially children and an infant. In our sanitized society, the reality of the carnage absolutely stunned me.
I think left in another directors hands this would've been a great and important documentary. But I think the director tried to shock, as well as stir controversy where perhaps his case was a little weak. Nevertheless, the interviews of the victims, witnesses, and police who responded were very powerful and moving.
