In my personal opinion, I thought Thor: Ragnarok, the third movie in the Thor film series by Marvel, was somewhat mediocre for a little bit when I was watching. I love the obvious cast of Thor and Loki and the addition of Hela and Valkyrie, but I felt that for most of the movie the Thor and Loki were secondary in a way, and used more as comedic reliefs then heroes. I know Marvel movies are known for there witty humour, but it was getting a bit much. It started off okay with Loki being Loki and them finding Odin. Odin’s death also introduced Hela, who in my opinion I was more interested in, especially with her backstory which was being told bit by bit though the movie. But then it went to a completely different planet, where Thor and Loki had to escape the planet, with Thor having to fight in a gladiator match, against the HULK (who, though funny, was a too much of a comedic relief character.) It did, thankfully, course-corrected back to the main plot of stopping Hela, and and it was great. Good fighting and the use of Ragnarok was good. Hulk even helped out as well in typical Hulk style. All-in-all, even with in my opinion Thor and Loki being set to the side for half the film, the film was okay. If you can except the first half, you’ll love the rest.
