This film is supposed to be a revenge film, but it really isn't. Apparently Tyler Perry didn't do any fact-checking at all with this film. A very bitter woman (acrimony's definition is in fact bitterness) who has a huge chip on her shoulder inevitably falls for a guy who has nothing going for him either. I guess maybe that's the attraction. He cheats on her with another woman in his trailer and she tips the trailer over with her Jeep. :0 She has a very bad temper. Yet still she marries him and starts tallying up what he owes her for his half of the bills. :0 I have a lot of issues with this film: - No way this guy would've invented the battery cell with his limited knowledge and skills. - No way he would've gotten $20 million for it. - The family shipping business was a joke. No fact-checking there either. - The female lead was hideous and so obnoxious no one would be interested in her. - No guy who's been treated as badly as this guy is going to give his ex-wife $10 million out of the kindness of his heart. Pass on this one. It was so laughable it was frustrating. There's one point where the protagonist's house that she inherited from her mother is under foreclosure and about to be repossessed and while she's whining about how he could've saved the house for her and didn't she's smoking a cigarette and dropping ashes all over the carpet. I seriously wanted the house to go up in flames just so he could say I told you so. Bad acting, bad script, dumb idea. Pass on this one. I really wanted to like it, but it was a waste of two hours.
