This is a well written thoughtful novel. Judy Nunn's writing has improved. Her novels have always made me think. However in previous novels the story and ' facts' haven't been woven together well. But this novel for me was the right blend of story, characters and ' fact'. I thought the author sympathethically wrote a plausible story based on world political events showing the reader what it is like to be a refugee, the horror and longing for safety and belonging.
