It tells the story of a fox who has to go out and get food from three farms that are nearby in order to feed his family, but there are three farmers, named Boggis, Bunce, and Bean, who don't like the fact that Mr. Fox is stealing from them and they band together to kill him. He then has to find ways to avoid the farmers and save his family at the same time. The book keeps little children hanging on every word and has an excellent ending that they'll love.

I would rate this book a most definite five, or the highest rating possible!!! I read this while I was on vacation and no one could get me to go anywhere! The plot was set in the English countryside, where an eight year old boy, named George was stuck with his horrid grandma, who told him all sorts of terrible stories that frightened him to death! Eventually, George got so fed up with the obnoxious old hag, that he made up a special medicine, to replace her regular daily medicine. The medicine works wonders, and makes the grandma taller than a house, and very spunky!! If you enjoy strange and wonderful humor,fun and exciting books, or Roald Dahl books, I strongly recommend this!!!

The Twits is a book by Roald Dahl. The Twits are husband and wife and although they are very funny, they are not too bright! Mr. Twit has a long, shaggy beard that has bits of rotten fish, apple, stale bread, etc. stuck in it. Mrs. Twit used to be very pretty when she was young, but she kept having frightening throughts and ended up as an ugly old hag! The Twits love to play mean tricks on each other. For example, one day Mr. Twit is enjoying a big, bubbly beer when Mrs. Twit pops out her glass eyeball and plops it into his mug. After spying the eyeball floating in his beer, Mr. Twit flees the scene leaving the mug and eye behind. She enjoys a good laugh. To get back at her, Mr. Twit puts a frog in her bed. Throughout the book they quarrel constantly, not with words, but by playing mean tricks on one another. My favorite trick was when Mr. Twit attached thin pieces of wood to the bottom of her cane and chair. Over time she thought she was shrinking. He (and I) had a good laugh. I enjoy reading books by Roald Dahl, and this one is among my favorites.
