Picture Books "They" Banned

Banned Books Week celebrates your right to make up your own mind about what you read. The titles on this list were at one time challenged (protested) or banned. Libraries across the country report these challenges to the American Library Association. Each book is accompanied by the reasons for the challenges and/or bans. For more information, please visit the ALA's Office of Intellectual Freedom.
